WE SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT ARCHITECTURE IS THE PRODUCT OF HISTORICAL PROGRESSION AND HISTORY IS A PERENNIAL CREATION. BUT CREATION MEANS DIFFERENTIATION.
“NO PLACE”The issue of January-February 2016 of the architecture magazine “ek-Architecture plus Design” presents the proposal of our practice entitled “Vertical Living”. This particular synthetic approach – as a research study – provides the opportunity to explore possible spatial relationships and geometric proportions that can be embedded in the architectural design through dynamic organization systems. The proposal seeks to extend the field of boundaries and links between building/site, building/landscape, structure/form, indoor/outdoor space.
ARCHISEARCH.gr-"FEATURED ARCHITECT"The well-known online architecture and design magazine “Archisearch.gr”, presents our firm in the section “Featured Architect”. Find out more about this presentation here.
SERVICE AREAS AT E65 MOTORWAYOur practice was commissioned by “Kentriki Odos S.A.” to study the masterplan of two main Service Stations of the “E65 Lamia-Egnatia Odos” motorway. The project constitutes part of the M.P.E. study that was undertaken by our collaborating consulting firms, in these two particular areas of the aforementioned motorway.
OUR FIRM IS DYNAMICALLY EXPANDING IN THE FIELD OF TOURISM AND LEISUREOver the past few years, our firm increasingly broadens its activity in Greece and abroad in the field of tourism, leisure and their subsequent uses. The collaborations we have already developed with leading business groups of the field, such as TEMES S.A., LAMDA Development and CASINO RODOS – Grande Albergo delle Rose, as well as the under discussion projects with Porto Carras Grand Resort or other investment funds, domestic and foreign, strengthen our firm’s place in this field of studies while enhancing its experience across the spectrum and scales of projects of this typology.
FLISVOS MARINA, ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL DISTINCTIONOnce again, Flisvos Marina, a project of our firm with regard to architectural design, received international recognition. In particular, it attained international accreditation after relevant evaluation from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) for its "EFQM Committed to Excellence" program. Flisvos Marina received the accreditation fully complying with the fundamental Committed to Excellence concepts. Flisvos Marina, has been already awarded with five (5) gold anchors, obtaining the highest rating at the Gold Anchor Award Scheme program of the British Marine Federation, as well as with the distinction “Clean Marina” (Clean Marinas Programme) from the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) after relevant evaluation.
EK MAGAZINE – ANNIVERSARY EDITION, SEPTEMBER 2015The anniversary edition of September 2015, on the occasion of the completion of 20 years of architecture through EK Magazine, includes the utopian project “Floating Skyscrapers” of our firm. The proposal comprises three buildings of equal height, composed of individual modules that are arranged in order to slide one on the top of another. A glass surface/base connects the three volumes which give the impression that are floating in the water. A motive for this design conception was the notion of “solitary waves”, which are transformed constantly due to sudden changes in the bottom of the sea. These water forms come together and move as a ripple in order to divide again and return to their previous state. This process indicates the presence of a type of organic “memory”. This particular approach provided the opportunity to explore new potential relationships and ratios, which can be imported in architectural design through other, more dynamic organization systems.
